As we are enter the second week of partial closure, we know there has been a lot of uncertainty. We've been working hard on our business continuity plan and there is reason to be optimistic. COVID-19 has impacted our business in a dramatic way and in turn, impacted your lives in a dramatic way. We understand this and we are doing everything possible to minimize the impact on our Bird's Nest Family.
We don't know how long this will last, but we are planning on the worst case scenario and feel confident we will emerge from this stronger. In the meantime, we are taking action to find additional ways to further support our team. In the past, many of you have made great suggestions on building our business and we continue to welcome any ideas.
Finally, don't panic. There is reason for optimism since this pandemic has so far effected a relatively small number of people here in Los Angeles. This dramatic but necessary "Safer at home" policy is designed to slow and limit the spread of this highly contagious virus. As of yesterday, Los Angeles County has 409 verified cases. So far, the spread seems less severe than other regions, so let's do our part containing this virus and let's hope we acted early enough.
Challenges will always come our way. How we face them and deal with them is what will grow and define us. We will get through this together.
